J oz., 50 ... 10 IANTHUS OR PINKS A magnificent genus, embracing seme of the most popular howtrs in cultivation, pr< ducing a great variety of brilliant colors and profusion of bloom. The varieties classed as annuals are really biennials, but are treated as annuals and may be sown out of doors when the danger from frost is past, and in a few weeks' time they are a mass of blcom, continu- ing so until afer hard frost. As a rule, they sur- vive the winter if given slight protection, floweiing abundantly the following season. They grow abcut a fcot high and can be used in beds or borders cf solid or mixed colors. The double flowering sorts are almost as fine as Carnations for cuttii g. They are not pariirular as to soil, but should have a sunny location. DOIBLE ANNUAL PINKS. PER PKT. 2250 Chinensis Fl. PI.
