They can be obtained only in the Fall, and should be purchased at that time, but may beheld over in a dry, moderately cool place until early Spring, for planting; or if set in the Fall, should be covered with manure or brush. They are so pretty, and the color of their blossoms so rich, that a little trouble to secure them is well repaid. Cover with soil to about their own depth. Single in all colors mixed, 6 for 10 cents, 20 cents per dozen. Double, In all colors mixed, B for 10 cents, 25 cents per dozen. FREESIAS. This lovely flower Is a recent Introduction from the Cape of Good Hope. The bulbs seem small in comrarison with the foliage and flower spikes; should be planted in a four-inch pot, and covered with a light mulching of moss until growth begins; water freely and give plenty of sunlight and warmth. The flowers are carried on long, slender stems, which bend at a right angle near the end, and from the horizontal parts the flowers are thrown up; when cut and placed In vases of water they will keep perfect for two weeks. They are always sure to succeed and will bloom in any situation. They are invaluable for bouquets, as they are deliciously fragrant- The bulbs increase each year, so that customers who buy a few dozen may soon have many hundred.
