And with the breakdown of our educational sys-. —18— tern will come the failure of our democratic system and the collapse of the American way of life. Just as people in general are of all kinds, all characters and all types, so we find are hard, cold and factual; some are sympathetic, understanding teachers whom pupils love;while still others are too sympa-thetic and too easy going. Teach-ers on the whole in Montana arewell-qualified and do a good of them are in the professionbecause they are dedicated to thiswork with children. A good teacher is not a goodteacher only during school hoursbut one who spends countlesshours later in the hard work of pre-paring lessons and in analyzingand studying the problems arisingfrom the days work.
