Orifice cross-shaped; margin wav- ing; shell elevated in front and rear; sad- dle-shaped like F. pustula but the forty- seven radiating riblets coarser; color usu- ally red, whitish between ribs; interior white, tinged with pink; opening upon in- side sometimes tinged with red; edge crenu- lated.
