"Spirit Totems", sculpture by the musician Herb Alpert, are seen in Dante Park opposite Lincoln Center in New York on Saturday, February 8, 2014. The three totems, entitled "Grace", "Freedom" and "Gratitude" are made of bronze. Alpert has won eight Grammy Awards and is well known for his musical ensemble, the "Tijuana Brass". Apparently the New York Police Dept. found the small space which the totems occupy the perfect storage facility for their barricades. The totems will be on display until April 15. (© Richard B.
