Nigardsbreen Glacier: Blue Ice Hole
Nigardsbreen is a glacier arm of the glacier Jostedalsbreen. Nigardsbreen lies nearby Gaupne in the Jostedal, Luster, in Sogn og Fjordane in Norway. The Nigardsbreen was a big glacier in 1748 with about 48 km². Between 1930-1939 it became smaller. It is dangerous to walk on the glacier alone, it is best to do it with a guide. There are different glacier hikes. Nearby the glacier is the museum Breheimsenteret. In front of the Nigardsbreen is the lake Nigardsbrevatnet with a small boat to the glacier. There is also a glacier bus.
