GULF OF THAILAND (May 10, 2017) Capt. David Bretz, commodore, Destroyer Squadron 31, and Cmdr. Claudine Caluori, commanding officer aboard Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Sterett (DDG 104), meet with officers from Thai, Singaporean and Bangladesh navies during a visit to Sterett commencing multilateral Cooperative Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT). CARAT is a series of annual maritime exercises aimed at strengthening partnerships and increasing interoperability through bilateral and multilateral engagements ashore and at sea.
