Aragnouet (south-western France): detail of the sculpted marble tympanum of the Templars Chapel dating back to the XIIth century (12th century), remains of the hospital run by the Order of Knights of the Hospital of Saint John of Jerusalem, commonly known as the Knights Hospitaller. The Templars Chapel ("chapelle des Templiers") is registered as a National Historic Landmark (French “Monument historique) and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, as part of the Way of St James. Christian Cross, Chi-Rho monogram, Christogram: Christian symbol formed from the Greek letters X and P, the first two letters of the word Christ in Greek letters alpha and omega, the first and last of the Greek alphabet, meaning “the beginning and the end”
