Bushy bluestem grass (Andropogon glomeratus) is backlit by the setting sun, Oct. 20, 2007, in Northport, Alabama. Bushy bluestem, also known as bushy beardgrass, is a bunchgrass found throughout North America, where is is frequently cultivated as an ornamental grass. It is considered an invasive weed in some areas. Bushy bluestem can reach heights of six feet , with large, cream coloured inflorescences and hairy spikelets.
