A large sinkhole above the HS2 High Speed Rail Chiltern tunnels appeared on Saturday next to Shardeloes Lake within view of Shardeloes Manor near Amersham, Buckinghamshire. Alarmed local residents have been told by the HS2 Ltd contruction company Align that “It’s quite sizeable – around six meters in diameter and five meters deep.
