1884 Victorian-era house served as the North Dakota Governors' Mansion in Bismarck from 1893-1960. Asa Fisher was the original owner and later sold the residence to the State of North Dakota for $ in 1893. In 1898 Governor Frank Briggs died in the master bedroom of the mansion due to tuberculosis. Many believe his spirit and perhaps others haunt this house today.
