A model 1909 shashqa, for Russian Dragoon officers Slightly curved single-edged nickel-plated blade with fullers on both sides. On the ricasso a stamped maker's mark for Zlatoust dated "1909". Brass knuckle-bow hilt with Cyrillic stamp "Slava Moskva". The pommel cap bears the Tsarist cipher "N II" in Cyrillic script. Grooved caoutchouc grip (small defects). Replacement leather scabbard with partly old fittings.
