Satellite image of a giant wind turbine factory (left centre) in Hull, UK. The giant blades are to be sent to offshore wind farms in the North Sea, 100 kilometres from the coast. They measure 81 metres in length and once erected, the wind turbine will be 205 metres high. In 2021 plans were made to double the size of the manufacturing facilities with an investment of £186 million to be completed in 2023. Image obtained by the Pleiades Neo satellite on 1 August 2022.
