Grey sky view, to stone colonnade, bronze garden statues 'Female Archer', 'Humpty Dumpty Machine', Alte Nationalgalerie, Berlin


The Old National Gallery (Alte Nationalgalerie), in the style of a Greco-Roman Temple, opened in March 1876. Home to !9th Century paintings and sculptures, it was severely damaged in World War 2, being completely renovated and re-opened in 2001. A view towards Ferdinand Lepcke's nude 'Female Archer' statue, dating to 1905-1906, and 'Humpty Dumpty Machine of the Total Future' by Jonathan Meese.
