A motion was decided that the club members advertise cooperatively for Mothers' day, and that a committee be appointed by the president to take charge of this matter. It also was moved to hold exhibits of cut flowers at four meetings during the year. The plans for the annual flower show, which will be held this fall, were discussed, and a committee was appointed by the presi- dent to take care of the management and details. An animated discussion with regard to raising prices for Easter on all cut flowers, blooming and foliage plants followed, and prices were ver- bally agreed on by all the florists of the organization. Refreshments were served during the social hour that fol- lowed the business meeting, Herman Leitz and Henry Freese performing the duties of hosts. The attendance was exceptionally large. The next meeting of the club will be held at the residence of Judge W. J. "Vesey, on the third Wednesday in April, April 18, since the second Wednesday comes during Easter week. Various Notes. Mrs. R. W. Dpswell is suffering from stomach trouble and probably will sub- mit to an operation shortly. The Doswell Floral Co. is showing some splendid Spencer sweet peas at its greenhouses. It has some excellent stock for Easter, including some fine Tausendschon and rambler roses. The company enjoys a considerable out-of-town trade, and has an advantageous location, opposite the interurban station. Miss Bonnie Dos- well is now at the store the entire time.
