The colliery which closed in 2003 is wanted for redevelopment ,The 200ft (61m) grade11 listed headstocks are the only part of the old pit that remain (the tallest of thier kind in Europe).MP Mark Spencer (Newark and Sherwood)has joined the growing number of groups who would like them to be demolished.
