Apart from being older(Campanian), D. awajiense has different ornament—on the body chamber virtually everyrib is bituberculate—in contrast to the irregular tuberculation in N. (B.) account of the regular coiling of the early whorls, we suggest that D. awajiense shouldalso be referred to the subgenus N. (Bostrychoceras).
