They are. however,possessed of a number of interesting details. First amongthese are, of course the cylinders. These are in two piecesas usual, but instead of each being cast with a half saddle two steam chests of the rightand central cylinders. The twooutside cylinders are horizontaland the central is inclineddownward from front to backat an angle of 8 degrees, andhas the center of its front endelevated about 28?4 in. abovethe center line of the two out-side ones. The centers of all of thesteam chests are in one hori-zontal plane which is situated24 in. above that of the outsidecylinders.
