Aortoiliac occlusive disease. Coloured 3D computed tomography (CT) scan of the descending aorta and the kidneys in a patient with aortoiliac occlusive disease, also known as Leriche syndrome. This condition is where the abdominal aorta is blocked, usually at the point where it transitions into the common iliac arteries (in the groin). Blockages can also occur at a higher point in the aorta.
