One of Cornwall's oldest and most famous Inns, favourite haunt of locals, fishermen, artists and tourists all year round. Believed to date from about 1312 , the Sloop Inn is situated right on the harbour front at St Ives with only a cobbled forecourt and road separating it from the sea. All of the beaches, shops and art galleries, including the Tate Gallery, are within easy walking distance. The Sloop Inn, with its low open beamed ceilings and slate floors in the bars, has retained all of its charm and character from times long past. The Public Bar with its famous long tables and benches is the favourite of fishermen and artists alike.
