Had a fine crop last year. Some specimens weigh 15 ounces, and are as handsome as any colored plates we have ever seen. Tree is a strong, healthy grower, rather sprawling. Fruit medium to large ; very at- active. Skin bright yellow, with brilliant red cheek. Very early. Plant Comet. EARLY HARVEST.âMedium ; very showy ; quality poor. Tree a good grower and abund- ant/bearer. Very profitable. Early. â¢v CLAPP'S FAVORITE.âLarge ; very good ; attractive ; red cheek ; good grower. More generally popular than any other pear.
