THE ROYAL GUERNSEY MILITIA: THE DETACHMENT IN LONDON FOR THE JUBILEE, UK, 1897: The Royal Guernsey Militia were not only the sole troops from the Channel Islands which came to take part in the Jubilee celebrations, but were also the only ones who were compulsorily enlisted.
