Both obverse and reverse of an Edward I Silver Penny against a white background. Struck at the Bristol Mint, England 1280-81. The obverse has a portrait of Edward with the legend: EDW R ANGL DNS HYB which means 'Edward, King of England, Lord of Ireland'. The reverse has the inscription VILLA BRISTOLLIE identifying the city where the coin was struck.
