Head and teguloe black; antennae white at tips ; frons and tegulae with metallic blue spots ; thorax scarlet; shoulders with black and blue spots; legs black; abdomen with the 1st segment and lateral patches on '2nd scarlet, the remainder black with dorsal and lateral series of blue spots ; the ventral valve with lateral white spots ; wings hyaline, the veins and margins rather broadly black.
