This is a classroom or assembly room for younger children in a circa-1930 Catholic orphanage in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, US. There are 58 children gathered here, and almost all have a toy, doll, train engine, stuffed animal, toy piano, etc. In this orphanage, with children ages three to sixteen, girls were taught the domestic arts, and boys learned painting, carpentry, tincraft, and wood carving.
