Redhill Aerodrome (IATA: KRH – ICAO: EGKR) seen from Nutfield, on an early morning in the dry summer of 2010.

Redhill Aerodrome is a historic grass airfield, originally built in the 1930s as alternative to "London Airport" at Croydon, at the time the UK's international airport. During the Second World War Redhill Aerodrome was used as a Royal Air Force station, mainly by Canadian and Polish Squadrons. Today, still a grass airfield, Redhill is home to many general aviation services and flying schools, for details, see Redhill Aerodrome has three grass runways: 36/18 runs parallel to the line of hangars, and 08/26 L+R along the brown grass on the left bottom side of the photo. The aerodrome is embedded in wooded countryside along the North Downs, a ridge of chalk hills in the South East of England. The photo shows Redhill Aerodrome on the early morning of a summer day, the dry weather had turned the grass brown. The view is from the North East.
