Clare Collge Bridge Cambridge with a dusting of snow
This bridge dates from 1640 and is the oldest bridge across the Cam. It was built by Thomas Grumbold and is generally considered to be one of the most attractive in Cambridge. Note that the globe in the foreground is missing a segment - there is no definitive agreement as to the reason for this though insufficient payment to Grumbold is often mentioned.
