ISS expedition 8 astronauts Alexander Kaleri (left) and Michael Foale. Foale, mission commander, represents NASA, despite being born in England. Kaleri represents Rosaviakosmos. Expedition 8 will launch on board a Soyuz TMA-3 spacecraft from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan on 18th October 2003. The mission is the second to fly to the ISS after the Columbia space shuttle disaster of 1st February 2003.
