This is a pretty little hardy flowering bulb introduced from South America; it has very pretty white flowers with a greenish-gray stripe on each petal. Its flowers are produced freely in early spring. They continue in bloom a long time, and are valuable for the open border. They are also valuable for wdnter blooming; several bulbs may be plant- ed together in a five or six inch pot.
