Smedovets in black and white

My favorite mountain - Smedovets, but this time I tried to make a nice simple black and white shot. the tree on the left was a hard task - in order to separate it from the forest I had to lighten it a bit, but still it's not what I was expecting. So i am open to ideas about this shot and that tree in particular.
