Human PCNA complexed with p15PAF encircling DNA, molecular model. PCNA (proliferating cell nuclear antigen) is a DNA clamp acting as a processivity factor for DNA polymerase. This homotrimer (purple, cyan, pink) encircles the DNA (orange, green). The oncogenic protein p15PAF (yellow) occupies two subunits of the homotrimer; the DNA binds the unoccupied subunit.
