The zjt stanzas of which 1 Simonetta Cattaneo of Genoa, wife of one of the Florentine was buried in the Ognissanti church in Florence, where lie also Botticelliand that Amerigo Vespucci from whom America derives its name. Besidespossible portraits of her in Botticellis pictures, an ugly portrait, surely notof her nor by Botticelli, is to be seen in the Pitti Gallery, and a no less uglybust.
