Lt. Chas. Stone of the US Signal Corps took this photograph on November 3, 1918. It shows a German graveyard with iron crosses on the gates in Foret d'Argonne, France. The monument in the center is protected by a heavy covering from shell fire. The dates on the crosses indicate 1914-1916. Dixon of the Photo Division is seen in the foreground. This photograph was passed by the censor, but the date of the censoring is unknown.
