Commemorative plaque dedicated to General Wladyslaw Anders (1892-1970), part of the Battle of Monte Cassino Memorial in the Polish capital - Poland.


General evacuated his men from the Soviet Russia in 1942, formed and commanded the Polish II Corps, a main tactical and operational formation of the Polish Armed Forces in the West during the WW 2. Gen. Anders captured Monte Cassino in Italy on May 18, 1944.
