The atrial tube is placed a short way down the ventral margin, and is only slightly produced. The lower enlarged extremity is rounded, and for a little way up is covered with numerous, rather long, cylindrical papillae; the rest of the surface is perfectly smooth and is very soft throughout; it is quite devoid of colour except at the apertures, which are slightly tinged with yellow, and the viscera impart a yellow hue, particularly to the lower part. The vascular ramifi- cations are confined to the inferior extremity, and penetrate the external papillae. The mantle (PI.
