This fight is all over bananas CHANDIGARH, INDIA RARE IMAGES show a scrap between two unlikely macaque and wild dog rivals. Images show the dog and macaque standing their ground, bearing the fangs and lunging at one another in the end the macaque seems victorious. These images were captured by 17-year-old photographer Sharanya Jain from Chandigarh, India. Sharanya captured the images in Chandigarh, India on her Nikon Z8, 200-500mm lens. ?Locals often leave bananas for the monkey families living in the city forest,? she said. ?The monkeys are very possessive and the leader monkey shoos away any thieves. ?In this particular instance, when a stray dog sneaks in to grab a banana, the leader monkey instantly bares its teeth and chases it out of the circle. ?The dog initially puts up a fight but eventually flees when the monkey starts to pounce. ?This is a very unique sight, as both animals have different territories and tend to keep their distance. ?It is very rare to see such an aggressive interaction. ?I felt very lucky to have been at the right place at the right time to capture this beautiful moment. ?I do love the shot where both animals can be seen aggressively baring their teeth, it can have a scary look but it is nature at its most ENDS
