The California rockers may not be everyone's cup of tea, but after 30 years and with over 14 million worldwide album sales they obviously have a talent and staying power often missing in today's rock scene. Touring to support their upcoming album The Brotherhood of The Snake The band is more used to playing stadiums than venues the size of The Engine Rooms but with UK audiences tending to be a lot smaller than in the US, the venue was a perfect size for them to get a good sized crowd going and a mosh pit in full swing. The band belted out the songs at an outrageous pace and bursting with energy. They may have spread out a bit over the years but they have not slowed down. More screaming guitars and vocal range than many a younger band they are still a power house of thrash metal. They managed to keep a crowd mixed from youth to middle-aged rockers jumping through the whole gig. This is not a band with any intention to go quietly into the
