Stephen Thomas, a maintainer with D Company, 3-10 General Support Aviation Battalion, instructs a fellow Soldier on the procedure for replacing the aft yoke in a CH-47 Chinook helicopter at Lielvarde, Latvia, on May 19. Thomas was the senior lead member of the team, proving that empowering junior leaders is imperative to be successful in the spread-out environment of Army Europe's Atlantic Resolve mission.
