The satellite payload of an upgraded SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket is seen at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station where it awaits a launch tonight at 8:29 The rocket will place 11 Orbcomm communications satellites in orbit. SpaceX will also attempt, for the first time, to land the first stage of the rocket back on shore. This is the first flight of a Falcon 9 since a rocket exploded in June, 2015 about two minutes after launch on a re-supply mission to the International Space Station.
