While the crop of peonies was not as large as in former years, there were enough for the de- mand; ])rices were not forced down, ami there was not the glut to contend witli th;it there is when the crop is normal. Roses are holding up well, both in jirice and quality; all varieties are to be had in almost any quantity and grade desired. The same thing can be said of carnations; some stock on the market the day this was written was as fine as any the writer has seen this season. Sweet peas are only fair and there is not much demand for them; the season for indoor ))eas is almost over. Easter lilies were in fine supply and sold well.
