In foreground r., where aroad passes by the waters edge, a mounted sportsman on a skewbaldhorse and having a hawk at his wrist stops for his horse to drink; alittle in rear a second sportsman, having dismounted from the whitehorse which a groom is holding near by, levels his piece at a bird inthe wood.
