Is a cross between the Kolb Gem and Mountain Sweet, surpassing the former in shipping qualities and fully equalling the latter in fine eating quality and flavor. It is from a week to 10 days earlier than either, has a re- markably thin, tough rind, and as a keeper and shipper it has no equal. Its productiveness is unequaled; vines pos- sessing the valuable quality' of rooting from every joint. The flesh is bright scarlet, of fine quality, almost down to the skin.
