The prose Yersion of ^schylus, published in Bohns?^TLassical Libeaet, having been accommodated to thetext of Dindorf, as the one most in repute, it has beenthought advisable to subjoin an Appendix, pointing out thepassages, where it differs from the emendations proposed byHermann, in the recent edition published by his prevent, however, the uncritical reader from being led,by the authority of a name, to admit emendations, whichin many instances are, at least, open to objection, the editorhas called attention to those passages which he thinksHermann would either have rejected or modified, had helived to revise his work.
