The chase saw police chase an inflatable RHIB vessel through the bay, later forcing the vessel to manoeuvre into port waters where after a perilous chase close to the marinas the vessel was apprehended along with its three occupants. Gibraltar - 6th February 2015 - Pictured police chase inside Gibraltar port waters close to the construction area of a new marina. The Royal Gibraltar Police maritime sections was at around 0900hrs today involved in a high speed chase through the Bay of Gibraltar which saw a Guardia Civil patrol vessel in assistance. The chase saw police chase an inflatable RHIB vessel through the bay, later forcing the vessel to manourve into port waters where after a perilous chase close to the marinas the vessel was aprrehended along with its three occupants. A police spokesperson has confirmed that two men were detained after jumping into the water, with a third apprehended onboard the vessel. The chase started in the area of the east side, where Guardia Civil initiated the chase after the occupants of the vessel were allegedly seen throwing yet unconfirmed objects into the water. Gibraltar police vessels assisted in the chase and took over the chase once inside Gibraltar waters.
