Thomas Bruce, 7th Earl of Elgin and 11th Earl of Kincardine, 1766 - 1841. Scottish nobleman and diplomat remembered for procuring the Parthenon marbles which are sometimes referred to as the Elgin marbles and are now in the British Museum.
