Capt. Kevin Oditt officially receives command of Coast Guard Sector Houston-Galveston from Capt. Peter Martin during a change-of-command and retirement ceremony at San Jacinto College in Houston, Apr. 24, 2017. The change-of-command ceremony is a time-honored, military tradition that conveys to officers and enlisted personnel that although the authority of command is relinquished by one person and assumed by another, it is still maintained without interruption.
