Red shingled house. White house on right, old school bell. Street lamp American flag on extended pole. Chestnut Square Historic Village,McKinney,Texas

Built in 1863 on South Chestnut Street, it originally provided overnight accommodation along the stagecoach line. Later, the typical guest was a salesman travelling by train. Armsted Taylor bought the inn in 1868 and ran it with his wife, Tabitha Scott Taylor. Since twenty-five cents paid for supper, a bed for the night, and breakfast the next morning, the establishment became known as the Two-Bit Taylor Inn. The Wilmeth Shcoolhouse is on the right.
