Controversy surrounds Turner Prize winning artist Tracy Emin’s plans to demolish 66-68 Bell Lane, a locally listed building in the Spitalfields Conservation Area of Tower Hamlets, and replace it with a contemporary design by architect Sir David Chipperfield. The new building to replace 66-68 Bell Lane will provide a new home and additional studio space to the artists existing adjoining studio space in Tenter Ground.
