SUGAR TROUGH GOURD. SUGAR TROUGH. These gourds are useful for many household purposes, such as buckets, baskets, nest-boxes, soap and salt dishes, and for storing the winter's lard. They grow to hold from four to ten gal- lons each, have thick, hard shells, very light but dur- able, having been kept in use as long as ten years. Our packets give printed directions for growing and pre- paring for use. Per pkt. 10 cts.; oz. 25 cts.; %ft 75 cts. WHITE EGG-FORMED. Also called Japanese Nest-egg Gourd. As they exactly resemble, in color, shape, and size, the eggs of hens, do not crack, and are uninjured by cold or wet, they make the very best nest-eggs. The plant is a rapidly-growing climber, and is useful for covering screens, etc., being quite ornamental, with the numerous white eggs. We have this variety pure, and can now most highly recommend it. Per pkt. 10 cts.; oz. 50 cts. THE DIPPER GOURD. This variety is also useful for many household purposes. When grown on the ground the stems will be curved, while if raised as a climbing vine, on a trellis, the weight of the blossom end will cause the stem to grow straight. They are very easily prepared for use as dippers, will last for years, and are particularly valuable for dipping hot liquids—the handles do not readily become hot. Dip- pers of various sizes, of a capacity of from a pint to a quart and a half, can be had from a few vines. Illus- tration and directions printed on each packet. Per.
