Wartehalle Event location in former historic railway station waiting room building built 1897 to plans by Armin Wegner, Julie-Wolfthorn-Straße 1, Mitte-Berlin,Germany The Szczecin suburban railway ran from here via Gesundbrunnen to Pankow and its small station building was situated next to the larger hall of the Szczecin long-distance train station The Szczecin suburban train station (aka the Kleiner Stettiner) was built to plans by the railway construction inspector Armin Wegner. On August 8, 1924, the first electrically operated S-Bahn train left the suburban train station in the direction of Bernau from here. The suburban station lost its function on July 27, 1936 after construction of the North-South tunnel and was closed. The small station building survived and was extensively renovated in 2011 and is now a venue for events.
